The Bridge School, an industry-oriented one-month online internship program was conducted by NCube designs in collaboration with Desmania design.

We were a total of eight industrial design & product design students from different universities in India. We were divided into two groups of four people in each and assigned one on one mentors from both NCube designs and Desmania design.

We have given a brief, which was "Tourism and Hospitality is the worst-hit sector in this pandemic and brands like OYO and makemytrip have suffered huge losses, what design intervention can help revive a particular brand". As a warm-up section, we had to go through a hackathon to produce random ideas within two days of time. Each student had to work on the same brief for nine hours continuously and then share the presentation to the next member and he should add on the process. with this approach, all the group members will work on every other's idea. As a result of the hackathon, we ended up with a design brief which we will be working further.

We were given a research strategy that Desmania follows, we had to fulfill all the relevant information through the research. As students, Most of them were unfamiliar to us. But the proper mentorship and guidance from the designers from both firms and outside we could meet our solution as a form of system design that will be an appropriate solution to revive the hospitality sector from this pandemic

I am so delighted to be a part of this internship. Throughout the internship, I got invaluable knowledge about design processes, industry exposure, and how to deal with a project in a short period of time. It was so interesting to work as a group in sharing knowledge and to start off from where one got stuck.
